Join the CYPMHS team at the Brighton and Hove Clinic as an Associate Specialist / Specialty Doctor on a 9-month fixed-term contract, contributing to the delivery of high-quality clinical care within the eating disorder service under the guidance of the responsible clinicians. In this role, you will provide clinical assessment, review, and evaluation to young people under the care and treatment of the hospital ensuring that all treatment plans are fully adhered to. Working 37.5 hours a week, you will take a specific focus on physical health, food and fluids and risk management across the ward working closely with the Consultant, ward manager, and wider MDT. You will be working alongside Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists at Brighton &amp; Hove Clinic, as well as the wider MDT of which they form an integral part. There is a regular multi-disciplinary team meeting daily and weekly so that care and treatment is adequately planned. The team has dedicated administrative support which is based within the hospital. There are great learning opportunities as you work with the full multidisciplinary team and can benefit from the active service user and staff forums at Brighton and Hove Clinic. Working 37.5 hours a week, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the medical team at Brighton &amp; Hove Clinic. From managing their diaries, planning meetings to updating records, you will be able to turn your hand to any admin related task. As the Medical Secretary, you will work alongside the Registered Clinicians assisting with confidential paperwork, service users records and GP letters. As a Medical Secretary you will be: <ul> <li> Supporting the Registered Clinician with letters and general documentation </li> <li> Supporting all meetings as minute taker as requested chaired by the Medical Director, SMT or ad hoc. </li> <li> Receiving and record typing, checking, and amending for spelling and grammatical errors, completing within given deadlines. </li> <li> Participating in the administration, development and evaluation of regulatory matters. </li> <li> Co-ordinating the hospital diary and the whereabouts of the clinicians </li> <li> Booking in meetings </li> <li> Arranging Conference Calls </li> </ul> To be successful in this role, you will have: <ul> <li> IT skills including Microsoft Office </li> <li> Experience of audio typing </li> <li> Communication and organisational skills </li> <li> A minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent </li> <li> Knowledge of mental health and medications </li> </ul> Where you will be working: Location: New Church Road Hove BN3 4FH Brighton &amp; Hove Clinic provides a Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) Tier 4 Eating Disorder service for young people aged 12 up to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder; or an eating difficulty with a co-morbid presentation for example mental health or psychological issues, such as depression, OCD or anxiety or self-harm.
