What you will do:

  • Deliver psychological consultation, assessment, intervention, and advisory services to schools, early years settings, and post-16 providers.
  • Undertake statutory work relating to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs) and provide high-quality psychological advice within statutory timescales.
  • Support schools and families in developing effective educational, behavioural, and pastoral support plans for children and young people with SEND.
  • Work collaboratively with SEND Case Officers, social care professionals, health colleagues, and other agencies within multi-disciplinary teams.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Educational Psychology or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Eligibility for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Successful completion of approved Educational Psychology training.

Registration & Compliance:

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Sound knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice (2015), Equality Act 2010, Keeping Children Safe in Education, and relevant safeguarding legislation and guidance.
  • Enhanced DBS check with Children's Barred List clearance.
