Join our team as a Children's Occupational Therapist in the historic town of Shrewsbury. This exciting three-month locum opportunity offers up to £40 per hour and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people, and their families. Working 33 hours per week, you will be part of a supportive occupational therapy service with hybrid working arrangements, including 2–3 days in the office depending on service requirements.

What you will do:

  • Manage and prioritise a caseload of children, young people, and families, completing assessments and delivering appropriate occupational therapy interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with Housing Services, Adult Social Care, Health teams, and Occupational Therapy colleagues to provide coordinated support.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Council’s vision, values, and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure services are delivered effectively in line with professional standards and service requirements.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support the service in responding to evolving needs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with children, young people, and families within a community or social care setting.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel as required.
