We're looking for a Theatre Practitioner to join our Theatre department at The Christie Private Care, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. As part of a leading cancer centre, you'll be working in a highly specialised environment that delivers complex, patient focused care supported by modern facilities and ongoing investment in technology. You'll be part of a close knit, multidisciplinary team where collaboration and clinical excellence are central to everything we do.

As a Theatre Practitioner in Anaesthetics and Recovery, you'll play an important role across the full perioperative pathway. Working in a setting that supports both routine and complex procedures, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your experience across multiple specialities. From preparing patients for surgery to supporting their recovery, your work will be varied, hands on and meaningful. You'll be supported to build on your existing skills while developing new ones, with opportunities to work across different disciplines and continuously improve your practice.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
What you'll do:
  • Deliver consistently high standards of patient care using evidence based practice
  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate all aspects of patient care throughout the perioperative journey
  • Prepare patients for anaesthesia and provide skilled assistance to the anaesthetist
  • Deliver safe and effective post anaesthetic care within the recovery setting
  • Work collaboratively across the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
What you'll bring:
  • Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse qualification
  • Current HCPC or NMC registration
  • Post registration experience within a theatre environment
  • Proven experience in anaesthetics and recovery
  • Completion of a postgraduate anaesthetics course (for nurses)
