What you will do:
- Provide strategic leadership and professional supervision to the Educational Psychology team.
- Balance statutory responsibilities with innovative preventative and systemic work.
- Support schools, children, and families with high-quality educational psychology services.
- Offer consultation and psychological guidance on individual and group child concerns.
- Engage in and lead training and in-service school support activities.
- Participate in policy development and team meetings to drive service improvements.
- Liaise with a variety of stakeholders to promote best practices and inclusive policies.
- Ensure record-keeping and reporting adhere to confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
As a Senior Educational Psychologist, you will:
- Join the Senior Leadership Team and influence strategic policy and service development.
- Lead on Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and emotional wellbeing initiatives.
- Coordinate the ELSA programme and the borough’s response to Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA).
- Manage and develop Assistant Educational Psychologists under the Experts at Hand model.
- Play a critical role in shaping educational practices across Redbridge.
