This is a full time role of 37.5 hours. Located in Blackburn, Lancashire, Priory Hospital Kemple View is a 90-bedded hospital, offering level 2 rehabilitation, and secure services, for adult males. We can support people with a mental health condition and/or a personality disorder. What you'll be doing You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients<ul> <li>Able to effectively and accurately update clinical records and computerised information systems as directed by the Occupational Therapist in a timely manner. </li> <li>Record and report patient's involvement in 1:1 and groups. The role involves supporting the Occupational Therapist or Senior Occupational Therapy Assistant with initial assessments and completion of checklists, as well as facilitating a range of therapeutic groups, including psychoeducational sessions, DBT-informed groups, goal setting, and life skills development. Experience or training in Autism support, DBT skills, or life skills interventions would be desirable. The post holder is required to have GCSEs or O-Levels at grades A-C, a relevant NVQ Level 2, or equivalent experience. This is an entry-level position; however, previous experience working within a health and social care setting is advantageous.
