This is a hybrid role, with a regular presence on site balanced with working from home, offering flexibility while remaining closely connected to the team. Alongside the day-to-day responsibilities, there is genuine scope to grow your career, whether that's progressing within the practice, contributing to wider projects or exploring opportunities across HCA UK's network of hospitals.

Above all else, we're committed to the care and improvement of human life. It's this guiding vision that influences everything we do at HCA UK. From the CEO to the colleagues on the floor we all have a part to play in delivering exceptional care to our patients. What you'll do:
  • Provide full secretarial support to the consultants' practice, including accurate audio-typing of clinical and non-clinical correspondence while maintaining confidentiality
  • Manage patient appointments, clinics and follow-ups, ensuring all scans, letters and payment information are in place
  • Arrange admissions, investigations and test results, highlighting urgent or abnormal findings to consultants promptly
  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and clinic notes ahead of outpatient clinics
  • Act as a key point of contact for patients, consultants and hospital colleagues, managing correspondence and enquiries professionally
What you'll bring:
  • Previous experience working in a medical secretarial role
  • A strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure
  • Strong, accurate typing and good computer literacy
  • Clear, confident communication skills and close attention to detail
