Detailed job description and main responsibilities Leadership &amp; Governance - Chair monthly MMG meetings and ensure effective governance and decision-making. - Ensure the MMG operates within its Terms of Reference and maintains alignment with Trust-wide safety and quality objectives. - Supports the Chief pharmacist in the provision of quarterly Key Issues Reports and an annual report to the Patient Safety Group. Strategic Oversight - Oversee the development and implementation of the MMG annual work plan. - Ensure compliance with national medication safety alerts and guidance. - Monitor and ratify medicines-related policies and procedures, including procurement, storage, prescribing, administration, and monitoring. A proactive, self-starting approach, coupled with the ability to use initiative, is essential, as is attention to detail and a positive response to a demanding, varied, and time-sensitive role. The candidate must be capable of dealing with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment. While experience in roster management and within healthcare is desirable, it is not essential.
