Description
Priory Hospital Enfield is looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist to join the team. This is a full time/37.5 Hour role.
Located in Edmonton, North London, Priory Hospital Enfield offers acute and secure services for adult females. We have two medium secure wards, one low secure and one acute ward.
We offer specialist mental health care to people who are unwell and are considered to be unable to look after themselves in the community. We offer specialist assessment, treatment and care to patients with severe mental illness, complex needs and people who require an environment with security and safety.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.
The successful candidate will hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the appropriate professional body (e.g. HCPC). You will have experience working with service users relevant to the setting, with strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, along with a compassionate, organised, and proactive approach to care. Experience managing a varied caseload and a commitment to ongoing professional development are essential.
