Oncology Pharmacist | Pharmacy Department | Private Hospital | 26 hours per week, Part Time | Competitive salary + Excellent benefits | Worcester | Spire South Bank Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy department on a part time basis. You will work alongside specialist Oncology nurses and consultants to build a rapport with our patients and ensure the highest level of patient care Spire South Bank Hospital has been in operation for 30 years providing quality private healthcare to the local population and beyond, earning a reputation as a leader in Worcestershire. We work with some of the areas most experienced Consultant Surgeons, Anaesthetists and Physicians to deliver tailored, personalised care and are proud of the positive patient feedback we consistently receive. Duties and responsibilities: In this role you will be working as part of a close knit specialist oncology and haematology team who ensure a highly personalised service to our patients. <ul> <li>Liaise with specialist nursing staff to ensure appropriate patient workload daily. </li> <li>Utilise your planning skills to ensure all chemotherapy medications are ordered and received ready for treatment. </li> <li>Pre-assessing patients, reviewing test results and assessing their safety to proceed to treatment. </li> <li>Reviewing and releasing medications at discharge</li> <li>Follow up calls with patients to review side effects and ensure they have all the support they need. </li></ul> Who we're looking for: As the Oncology Pharmacist you will be confident in your ability to work autonomously and continue to develop the service. <ul> <li>GPHC registered. </li> <li>Experience within Oncology Pharmacy is essential.</li> <li>Current dispensing and screening experience.</li> <li>2 years post registration experience in Oncology desired.</li></ul> Contract: Part time - 26 hours per week Hours: Monday to Friday, hours between 08:30 - 17:30 Benefits: We offer employees a competitive salary as well as a comprehensive benefits package which includes but is not limited to: <ul> <li>35 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays</li> <li>Employer and employee contributory pension with flexible retirement options</li> <li>'Spire for you' reward platform - discount and cashback for over 1000 retailers</li> <li>Free Bupa wellness screening</li> <li>Private medical insurance</li> <li>Life assurance</li></ul> We commit to our employee's well-being through work life balance, on-going development, support and reward. Maintain meticulous patient records and proactively manage pharmacy inventory to ensure seamless service and availability. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including Doctors and Nurses, to optimise patient outcomes and promote holistic care. Provide expert guidance on over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products, empowering patients to make informed health decisions.
