We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Physiotherapist with strong acute inpatient and orthopaedic experience to join the Therapies team at our prestigious Harborne Hospital in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside some of the UK's leading orthopaedic and surgical consultants in a state-of-the-art hospital, renowned for delivering exceptional patient care and clinical outcomes.
As an Advanced Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services across our acute inpatient environment, supporting patients throughout their post-operative recovery following major surgical procedures, with a particular focus on orthopaedics. Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will assess, treat and rehabilitate patients with complex clinical needs across orthopaedic, surgical and critical care settings, helping to optimise recovery, promote independence and facilitate safe and timely discharge.
This is a predominantly ward-based role, offering the opportunity to work autonomously while contributing to the ongoing development of a responsive and patient-centred therapy service. You will utilise your advanced clinical skills to manage a varied caseload of acute surgical and orthopaedic patients, provide specialist advice to colleagues and support service improvement initiatives. As part of a dynamic team delivering care across extended service hours, you will play an important role in supporting the needs of our growing orthopaedic service, including patients undergoing day-case and complex surgical procedures.
