What you will do:

  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in collaboration with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received, while promoting safe patient care.
  • Be eager to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
  • Engage with patients in a non-judgmental and compassionate manner to support their substance misuse recovery journey.
  • Utilise your excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate good IT skills and IT literacy to maintain accurate and thorough documentation.
  • Thrive in a busy environment, managing tasks efficiently.
  • Operate unsupervised while adhering to policy and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care.

Qualifications required:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience or knowledge of substance misuse.
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy.
  • Ability to work within a busy environment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
