What you will do:
- Provide expert advice to the Director of Children's Services and relevant officers about children's needs within the framework of current legislation and statutory duties.
- Deliver educational psychology support to schools and other educational settings.
- Engage in preventive casework by offering a consultation service to schools, parents, and professionals.
- Contribute to and support schools with critical incidents and the development of educational provisions.
- Keep accurate records and facilitate effective communication through report writing.
- Participate in in-service training programmes and contribute to policy development.
- Attend and contribute actively to team meetings and professional development initiatives.
- Comply with data protection, confidentiality guidelines, and ensure safeguarding policies are always adhered to.

Requirements:
- An honours degree in Psychology and a postgraduate qualification at Masters or Doctorate level acceptable to the Association of Educational Psychologists and the British Psychological Society.
- Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council.
- Proven experience working with children, young adults, families, schools, and applying psychological theory in varied educational contexts.
- Competence in using information technology for management and administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to work within a team and independently.
