Band 6 Occupational Therapist required in Hounslow, earning £27.00 per hour. This is a full-time, ongoing locum role working 7.5 hours per day. As part of the Children & Families Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy Education Team, you will work across schools in Hounslow, with one day per week dedicated to supporting Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs). What you will do:

  • Conduct assessments and provide tailored occupational therapy interventions to children within schools.
  • Support the provision of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) by carrying out comprehensive EHCNAs.
  • Collaborate with educational staff, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised therapy plans.
  • Ensure thorough documentation and report writing to support therapy interventions and outcomes.
  • Travel between different schools and educational settings within Hounslow as required.

Qualifications / Requirements / Person Specification:

  • Professional Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC Registration.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in paediatric occupational therapy and working within educational settings.
  • Assessment Skills: Ability to conduct EHCNAs and support EHCP provision.
  • Core Competencies: Strong report writing, assessment skills, and experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Local Authority Experience
