An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Sonographer to join the Maternity and Gynae Team in Reading. This locum role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with a competitive and negotiable hourly rate based on experience. What you will do:

  • Conduct detailed maternity and gynaecological ultrasound scans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with NHS standards.
  • Interpret ultrasound findings to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, explaining procedures and providing reassurance.
  • Ensure ultrasound equipment is used safely and maintained to high operational standards.
  • Follow infection control and clinical safety protocols at all times.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration is essential.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS.
  • Degree in Radiography and a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Strong experience in maternity and gynaecology ultrasound scanning.
  • A driving licence is desirable due to travel between multiple sites.
