You will ensure the appropriate management of patient appointments, liaising with patients and hospital staff as required in order to facilitate this. What you'll do:<ul><li>Provide full secretarial support to the Consultant (including audio-typing of clinical/non-clinical material, reports etc.)</li><li>Responsible for the appropriate management of patient appointments, liaising with patients and hospital staff as required in order to facilitate this</li><li>Receive new patient referrals and arrange relevant appointments across various hospital departments</li><li>Register new patients and ensure that all patient records are kept up to date</li><li>Respond to all written and verbal queries from patients and relatives, escalating to the consultants if required</li><li>Undertake any other duties as called upon to carry out by the Medical Secretary Manager, Deputy Medical Secretary Manager or Supervisor</li><li>Liaise with consultants and other secretaries to ensure the smooth running of the Out-Patients Clinics</li></ul>What you'll bring: <ul><li>Substantial previous Medical Secretarial experience is essential.</li><li>Significant understanding of Medical terminology.</li><li>Experience working in a variety of specialities Orthopaedics would be an advantage</li><li>Strong attention to detail, accurate typing and letter proof reading skills.</li><li>Computer literacy.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li><li>Previous knowledge of DGL Practice Manager and Meditech preferred.</li></ul>Why HCA UK?
