We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, with a special interest in Fetal Medicine, to join our client's state-of-the-art private hospital based on a stunning Caribbean island.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional maternity and women's healthcare services within a modern, technologically advanced clinical environment. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care, with a particular focus on fetal medicine, prenatal diagnosis, and the management of high-risk pregnancies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive consultant-led obstetric and gynaecological care to both inpatient and outpatient populations
  • Lead the assessment and management of high-risk pregnancies, including maternal and fetal complications
  • Perform and interpret advanced fetal ultrasound examinations, including detailed anomaly scans, fetal growth assessments, and Doppler studies
  • Diagnose and manage complex fetal conditions and provide antenatal counselling to expectant parents
  • Work collaboratively with neonatology, paediatrics, anaesthesia, radiology, genetics, and other multidisciplinary teams to optimise maternal and fetal outcomes
  • Perform obstetric and gynaecological procedures, including elective and emergency caesarean sections and other operative interventions appropriate to consultant practice
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to junior medical staff, midwives, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals
  • Participate in the consultant on-call rota for Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, departmental audits, and the development of evidence-based clinical protocols

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution
  • Board Certification or equivalent specialist qualification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Fellowship or significant subspecialty experience in Fetal Medicine is highly desirable
  • Valid, unrestricted medical licence or eligibility for licensure in the Cayman Islands
  • Significant post-training consultant experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, including the management of high-risk pregnancies
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced obstetric ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and fetal assessment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary team-working skills

Registration Eligibility:

  • Must be eligible for medical registration in the Cayman Islands
  • Provisional registration is available for applicants who qualified in Australia, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, or the USA
