Detailed job description and main responsibilities Develop a knowledge and understanding of the patient pathway. Ensure that appointments are made within the correct timescales and any follow-up actions from clinical appointments are carried out, i.e. tests or appointments ordered and bookings made within the correct timescale. Ensuring any capacity issues are escalated to the service team. Develop systems to ensure rapid communication and effective co-ordination between all other Trusts/Centres where patients may be referred for specialised diagnostic tests or treatment.
