Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital are seeking a Theatre Healthcare Assistant to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

Duties and responsibilities

Working as part of the theatre team, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting Nurses and Consultants during procedures
• Assisting scrub nurses within theatre
• Providing patient support within the anaesthetic room
• Transporting patients to and from the ward
• Opening sterile packs
• Preparing and checking instruments prior to procedures
• Assisting with equipment ordering
• Maintaining theatre cleanliness and supporting infection control
• Contributing to safe, high-quality care delivery

Who we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in theatre is desirable
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent, such as Care Certificate)
• A caring, compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong communication and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
