What You Will Do

• Collect used instruments from wards and clinics.

• Disassemble and prepare instruments for cleaning.

• Operate washer disinfectors to decontaminate instruments.

• Inspect, reassemble, test, and package instruments ready for sterilisation.

• Sterilise instruments and trays using steam autoclaves.

• Record decontamination processes using computer systems and scanners.

• Test machinery and report faults promptly.

• Distribute sterile instruments and trays to hospital departments.

• Maintain stock levels and update records accurately.

• Train in Endoscopy, supporting staff and processing flexible endoscopes.

Requirements

• HCPC registration.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience within a Sterile Services environment.

• Driving licence preferred to support travel between sites.
