We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialty Doctor to join our Home treatment and Rapid Response Team (HTT/RRT).
This is a 8.5PA post however the Trust would welcome a discussion with individuals looking for a more flexible working pattern to support work-life balance.
Applicants must have full registration with the GMC including licence to practice.
MHA Section 12(2) Approval holders will contribute to a middle-tier non-residential on call rota. Specialty doctors who do not hold Section 12 (2) Approval are expected to work towards this and will be supported to do so.

Main duties of the job
- HTT duties: Attendance to morning MDT meetings, home visits for medical, prescribing for patients under the care of the team, liaison with other agencies such as GPs and Social Services, providing medical advice for the team and good clinical record keeping. We also work jointly with specialist services such as EIP and MIMHs.
- Rapid Response Duties: reviews which may include gatekeeping assessments and new referral assessments and mental health assessments where needed.
- Active involvement in clinical reviews, meetings, Section 117 planning meetings etc as and when necessary
- Work collaboratively with the inpatient consultant and MDT in the assessment, treatment and management of psychiatric inpatients, providing in-reach with aim of discharge of patients into the community.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- MRCPsych OR a specialist qualification from an EU country that complies with EU directive 2005/36/EU.

- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- In good standing with GMC with respect to warnings and conditions on practice.
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 6 months of appointment

- Holds and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative

- At least 4 years postgraduate experience, including at least 2 years in core psychiatry training programme
- Good knowledge in specialty
