Description
Priory Hospital is looking to recruit a Speciality Doctor to join the team This is a part-time/ 22.5 Hour role.

The Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is a private 46-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults, located on the edge of London in Hayes, Kent. The hospital provides care and treatment for patients with a wide range of Mental Health issues both as inpatients and day patients. Hayes Grove specialises in providing care for patients with Acute mental health conditions, addiction issues - both drug and alcohol, and also has specialist Eating Disorders and and NHS acute Mental Health units. The hospital is situated close to excellent transport links to central London, Croydon and Bromley areas and parking is available locally.


What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
  • Undertake comprehensive psychiatric assessments for clients referred to the unit, determining appropriate levels of care under the supervision of Consultant Psychiatrists, and produce high-quality clinical reports and documentation.
  • Play a key role in the planning, implementation, and review of Care Programme interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring patient-centred and outcome-focused care
  • Actively contribute to teaching, supervision, and shared learning within the MDT, supporting the development of colleagues and maintaining high professional standards
  • Participate in Clinical Governance, audit, research, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), while also ensuring consistent medical cover through collaborative working and involvement in the on-call rota
  • Demonstrate flexibility and leadership, responding to changing service needs, supporting senior management in promoting the service and undertaking additional responsibilities appropriate to the role.

What you'll bring to the role

The successful candidate will work closely within a multidisciplinary team, including Consultant Psychiatrists and another Specialty Doctor, to provide a holistic, person-centred treatment programme based on the recovery model. Applicants must hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and possess an MBBS qualification (or equivalent), with experience of working in psychiatry within multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should also be in good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Additional desirable criteria include MRCPsych qualification, Section 12(2) approval, and Approved Clinician (AC) status.
