Description
Priory Hospital Lakeside View are looking for a Speciality Doctor to join the team on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week. This is Monday - Friday 9pm - 5pm.

Priory Lakeside View in Willenhall, West Midlands, supports 30 adults with acute mental health needs within a safe, therapeutic environment.

It also has excellent transport links, including:
  • A local bus and train station
  • A 10-minute drive from the M6 motorway
  • A 10-minute drive from Wolverhampton train station



What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to our patients' well-being. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, and undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate patients' wellbeing, dignity, and treatment.

You will have support from other medical staff on site, including the Medical Director, Consultant, and other MDT.You can find additional information in the attached job description.


What you'll bring to the role

This role requires an MBBS (or equivalent medical qualification), along with current GMC registration and a licence to practise. The successful candidate will also be expected to be in good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for CPD and to have completed an appraisal or RITA within the last year. The consultant should hold a CCST or CCT (or equivalent) in a relevant area of Psychiatry and have experience working within inpatient settings supporting individuals with significant mental health difficulties. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role requires building trust and confidence with patients to ensure treatments and interventions are effective. The ability to communicate clearly and collaboratively with relatives, GPs, Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs), care coordinators, and acute trusts is also a key part of the role.
