We're looking for a Senior Theatre Practitioner - Recovery to join our Theatre team at The Wellington Hospital. As the largest private hospital in the UK, The Wellington offers a uniquely diverse and highly specialised clinical environment. With 11 operating theatres across three buildings and services spanning neurosurgery, spinal surgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, gynaecology and cancer care, you'll work at the forefront of complex surgical care, supported by advanced technology and an experienced multidisciplinary team.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner in Recovery, you'll play a vital role in the post operative journey. You'll work within a high performing team focused on safe, responsive patient care following anaesthesia. This is a setting where your clinical judgement is valued and your ability to lead, support and guide others makes a real difference to patient outcomes. You'll be trusted to manage airway support, pain control and patient monitoring while also contributing to team development and service improvements. What you'll do:
  • Deliver high quality, patient centred care in the recovery phase following anaesthesia
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to clinical changes
  • Support airway management and effective pain control
  • Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues within the recovery team
  • Contribute to clinical governance, safety standards and continuous service improvement
What you'll bring:
  • Current HCPC or NMC registration
  • Strong experience in recovery nursing within a complex acute hospital setting
  • Exposure to senior level responsibilities including team support and leadership
  • Knowledge of theatre safety, governance and best practice standards
  • Experience or familiarity with neuro and spinal patient pathways
