Location: The Wilmslow Hospital, Cheshire
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week over 7 days
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Dependent on experience

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior General Radiographer to join our imaging team at The Wilmslow Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.

At Wilmslow Hospital, we provide a comprehensive range of general X-ray services, including orthopaedic, respiratory, paediatric, and minor injury imaging. We also offer DEXA scanning and imaging support for orthopaedic theatre procedures. Our department is equipped with a modern portfolio of imaging technology, including a Hologic DEXA scanner, a GE OEC mobile C-arm, and a Siemens Ysio X.pree digital radiography system, which is scheduled for installation in September 2026. The imaging department also offers 3T MRI, mammography and a consultant led ultrasound service.

The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality diagnostic radiography service, ensuring excellent patient care and imaging standards across a broad range of examinations. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will undertake general radiography and theatre imaging procedures, support our expanding minor illness and injuries service, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the department. You will be responsible for producing accurate diagnostic images, maintaining compliance with radiation safety regulations, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and assisting with departmental administration and equipment management. This role includes evening and weekend working on a rota basis across 7 days.

What you'll bring:
  • BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • HCPC Registered
  • Solid experience of general (including minor injuries) and theatre radiography
  • Exceptional patient care, communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience of DEXA scanning would be desirable
