Location: Stoke‑on‑Trent Hours: 33 hours per week Pay Rate: £13.59 (NVQ2) - £13.94 (NVQ3) Service Type: Residential Care - Dementia, Mental Health, Physical Disabilities

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join a well‑established residential care service in Stoke‑on‑Trent. We are looking for a compassionate, confident and reliable Senior Carer who is passionate about delivering high‑quality care and supporting residents with a range of needs.

About the Role

As a Senior HCA, you will play a key role in supporting the care team, leading by example and ensuring residents receive safe, person‑centred care. You will work across dementia care, mental health conditions and physical disabilities within a warm and supportive residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality personal care and support

• Lead and mentor care staff during shifts

• Administer medication (if trained and authorised)

• Support with care planning and documentation

• Promote dignity, independence and wellbeing

• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues

• Ensure a safe, caring and positive environment

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care

• Previous experience as a Senior Carer or strong Care Assistant ready to step up

• Experience in dementia care, mental health or physical disabilities

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Compassionate, reliable and committed to excellent care
