About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join a well‑established Residential Care Home in Stockton‑on‑Tees. This is a full‑time day shift position supporting residents with a range of needs, including dementia care.
The ideal candidate will be confident leading a team, delivering high‑quality person‑centred care, and ensuring the smooth running of the shift.
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Senior HCA
Strong experience in residential and dementia care
Ability to lead, support, and mentor care staff
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Commitment to delivering safe, compassionate care
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the care team during day shifts
Deliver high‑quality personal care and support
Administer medication (if trained and authorised)
Ensure care plans are followed and updated
Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing
Liaise with families, professionals, and management
Maintain a safe, caring, and positive environment
