Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ward rounds and assist in patient management within the 9-bed PICU and 5-bed HDU.

• Act as a core member of the Paediatric Emergency Response Team, managing emergencies including airway management, intubation, and chest drains.

• Collaborate closely with PICU Surgical and Medical Consultant teams to ensure the highest standards of care.

• Oversee pre- and post-operative care alongside Cardiac Surgical teams.

• Participate in audits, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain clinical excellence.

Essential Criteria

• GMC registration and completion of Foundation training.

• Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in Paediatrics, including PICU exposure.

• ALS certification and demonstrated competency in managing complex paediatric ICU cases, including emergencies.

• Strong commitment to patient-centred care and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
