Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday, rota between 8am-8pm
Fixed term contract, 12 months starting September 2026
Salary up to £29,000 per year
We're looking for a Radiology Department Assistant to join our Imaging team at The Wellington Hospital, London. This is a hands-on, patient-facing role where your support helps imaging services run smoothly and safely every day. You'll be part of a small, close-knit team that works across modern imaging environments, with the chance to build strong clinical experience while being fully supported by experienced colleagues.
As a Radiology Department Assistant in Imaging, you'll work closely with radiographers, nurses and consultants to support patients through their imaging journey. No two days are the same. You'll be welcoming patients, preparing rooms and equipment, supporting procedures, and helping to keep the department organised and calm. The role offers a high level of independence, balanced with strong team support, and exposure to the clinical side of private healthcare across several sites, with most of your time based at the Platinum Medical Centre.

What you'll do:
- Support radiographers and clinicians by preparing patients, rooms and equipment for imaging procedures
- Organise and support ultrasound workflows, including patient chaperoning, documentation and charging processes
- Escort patients safely within the department and between clinical areas
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked and safe imaging environment
- Support departmental administration, including image transfers and data handling in line with GDPR
- UK hospital experience within a clinical environment
- A Care Certificate or equivalent is essential
- Confidence working directly with patients and the public
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
