We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Scrub Practitioner to join the Theatre Team at Spire Leeds Hospital, based in Roundhay. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work across a range of specialities within a well-established theatre department.
Surgical First Assist experience is desirable, and applicants with an interest in robotic surgery are particularly encouraged, with ongoing development and upskilling opportunities available.
Shift patterns are flexible over 5 days - with on call commitments.
Spire Leeds Hospital, located in Roundhay, Leeds, has been treating patients for almost 30 years. We are the region's largest private hospital in terms of the range of services we offer and the number of consultants we work with. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. There are outpatient and physiotherapy departments providing services six days per week

Duties and responsibilities
- Scrub for major and minor cases including but not limited to Orthopaedics, General and Thoracic
- You will support in assessing patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient's needs
- You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organize data, interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others
- You will also develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security and infection control, lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices
- You will be a HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner or an NMC registered Nurse with Scrub experience.
- Must have scrub experience
- Surgical First Assist is desirable
- Interest in Robotics surgery
- Excellent communication and organisational skills are key to continue our high standards of patient care.
- Experience of working in teams and with minimum supervision
