Perioperative Practitioner

Perioperative Practitioner Scrub / SFA | Theatre | Private Hospital | Southampton | Full-time Permanent

Spire Southampton are recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Perioperative Practitioner/SFA to join our high performing Theatre Team on a permanent Full-time basis. We will consider a qualified ODP or Scrub Nurse with experience in either Orthopaedic scrub or Cardiac scrub.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in scrubbing for consultant led surgeries that vary in complexity and specialism, such as orthopaedics
• You will assess patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
• Develop care plans that are appropriate to the patient, taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks and their wellbeing
• Provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre

Who we're looking for

• Qualified ODP/Scrub Nurse
• Surgical First Assistant desirable
• NMC or HCPC registered with no restrictions on your pin.
• At least 2 years scrub experience in either orthopaedics or cardiac
• Have been employed in a surgical/Theatre setting.
• You will be highly motivated and used to working in challenging but rewarding environment

Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours on rota basis

Contract Type: Permanent
