Occupational Health Advisor – Up to 12-Month FTCSalary: Circa £48,000 (FTC) or equivalent hourly rate, depending on experienceLocation: Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week onsite in Stevenage, with occasional UK travel (including overnight stays)
The opportunity: We’re partnering with a growing organisation to recruit an Occupational Health Advisor on a fixed-term contract of up to 12 months. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced OHA to join a busy Occupational Health & Wellbeing team and make a real impact on employee health and wellbeing.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary OH team committed to delivering a high-quality, responsive service. Your work will support employees across the business, providing expert guidance on physical and mental health, wellbeing initiatives, case management, health surveillance, and lifestyle assessments.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering a proactive OH service that protects and promotes the physical and psychological wellbeing of employees.
- Conducting health screening, health surveillance, and case management.
- Providing expert guidance to HR, Safety teams, and line managers on occupational health matters.
- Supporting and developing OH technicians and contributing to overall team growth.
- Leading projects and service delivery improvements, including wellness medicals for senior staff and lifestyle assessments for employees.
- Delivering manager training sessions and supporting wellbeing initiatives across the business.
- Producing high-quality reports, managing case loads effectively, and prioritising competing demands.
What we’re looking for:
To be the successful Occupational Health Advisor candidate you will:
- Have an NMC registered Nurse – essential
- Hold Part 3 – SCPHN (OH) qualification – highly desirable
- Be widely experienced in delivering occupational health services
- Have proven experience in pre-placement assessments, health surveillance, case management, lifestyle screening, and triage
- Be able to demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and research-based practice
- Possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Have experience motivating, influencing, and building relationships across teams
