We're looking for a Materials Loan Kit Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team based at London Bridge Hospital. This team plays a critical role in supporting surgical services by managing the end-to-end loan kit process for theatre procedures. Loan kits provide essential prostheses, instruments and consumables required for patient surgeries, ensuring clinical teams have access to specialist equipment exactly when it is needed. Working closely with Theatres, Sterile Services, Purchasing, Accounts Payable and external suppliers, the team helps maintain the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
As a Loan Kit Coordinator, you'll be responsible for coordinating the full lifecycle of surgical loan kits, from booking and ordering through to receipt, reconciliation and return. You'll work with theatre teams to ensure the correct kits are available for upcoming procedures, investigate discrepancies, manage supplier relationships and support the accurate processing of documentation and purchase orders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced theatre environment and wants to play a visible role in supporting life-changing surgical care. Your attention to detail and ability to build strong relationships will help ensure procedures run smoothly and patients receive the highest quality care.
Above all else, we're committed to the care and improvement of human life. It's this guiding vision that influences everything we do at HCA UK. From the CEO to the colleagues on the floor we all have a part to play in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Other's may think this is just a role in Supply Chain, but to us, you'll be part of a wider team with a unique sense of purpose, one that helps improve lives on a daily basis.

What you'll do:
  • Coordinate the end-to-end management of loan kits required for surgical procedures, ensuring kits are available and delivered on time.
  • Review theatre bookings daily and liaise with clinical teams and suppliers to arrange appropriate equipment and prostheses for upcoming cases.
  • Receive, inspect and reconcile incoming loan kits, investigating discrepancies and coordinating resolutions with suppliers and clinical stakeholders.
  • Process purchase orders, requisitions and supporting documentation to ensure the timely payment of suppliers and accurate charging of used items.
  • Support the management of consignment stock, high-value inventory checks and reporting of loan kit activity and exceptions.
What you'll bring:
  • Experience working within a theatre or surgical hospital environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Strong customer service skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel, alongside strong attention to detail.
