Complex Home Care
Job Ref 26170
Job description
At Apollo Home Healthcare, we provide high-quality, person-centred care to people in the comfort of their own homes. Every individual we support has unique needs - we tailor every care package to them, building a compassionate and skilled team around their requirements.
We live and work by the 6 Cs: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment - and we're looking for people who share those values.
Meet Our Client
We are currently caring for an energetic and active boy in his early teens who lives with his family in Birmingham. He enjoys watching Spider-Man videos and cartoons, playing with Nerf guns, and singing along to familiar songs and nursery rhymes.
He is unable to communicate verbally, so we are seeking patient and attentive care staff who are able to interpret his non-verbal cues effectively.
Care staff will be required to provide full support with all aspects of personal care and medication administration, as well as managing his clinical interventions as required.
He can experience unsettled nights, therefore staff must be prepared to remain awake, provide supervision, and actively engage and stimulate him throughout the night.
Due to the complexity of his needs, we are seeking a Healthcare Assistant with proven experience in managing challenging behaviours, using positive behaviour support strategies, and applying effective de-escalation techniques with confidence and compassion.
Please note: Due to the nature of our vacancies, our clients have the right to request either female or male staff.
Our client has requested male staff only
This isn't just a job - it's your opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life."
