Complex Home Care
Job Ref 26146
Job description
At Apollo Home Healthcare, we provide high-quality, person-centred care to people in the comfort of their own homes. Every individual we support has unique needs - we tailor every care package to them, building a compassionate and skilled team around their requirements.
We live and work by the 6 Cs: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment - and we're looking for people who share those values.
Meet our client
You will be supporting a fun-loving and energetic 14-year-old boy at home and within his school setting. He enjoys gaming on his Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and tablet, as well as playing football, spending time in the community, and socialising with other children. He thrives on interaction and enjoys activities that reflect his interests and daily routine.
He communicates using Makaton, so carers should be patient, attentive, and confident in supporting communication in a positive and encouraging way. He benefits from consistency and familiarity, so providing reassurance, structure, and a calm, supportive approach is essential.
This role involves supporting him with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, eating and drinking, emotional support, and safe participation in home, school, and community activities. You will provide compassionate, consistent care while promoting comfort, dignity, and independence.
The role also includes supporting a range of clinical care needs, including moving and handling, respiratory support, medication administration, and ongoing health monitoring.
Please note: Due to the nature of our vacancies, our clients have the right to request either female or male staff.
Our client has specifically requested female care staff to join their team.
This isn't just a job - it's your opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life."
