Complex Home Care
Job Ref 26098
Job description
At Apollo Home Healthcare, we provide high-quality, person-centred care to people in the comfort of their own homes. Every individual we support has unique needs - we tailor every care package to them, building a compassionate and skilled team around their requirements.
We live and work by the 6 Cs: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment - and we're looking for people who share those values.
Meet Our Client
We are supporting a kind and thoughtful gentleman on a 2:1 care basis who values spending quality time with his family. He has a great sense of humour, is incredibly patient, and brings warmth and positivity to those around him.
He has a keen interest in football and horse racing and enjoys keeping up with the latest events and results. In his downtime, he likes to relax with a good film in the evenings. He also greatly benefits from hydrotherapy sessions, which are an important and enjoyable part of his routine, as well as spending time at his holiday cottage.
He is non-verbal and communicates by using his eyes to spell out words. Carers must be patient, attentive, and willing to take the time to engage with him, as well as confident using the alphabet to support communication. Building trust and understanding his communication style is an important part of this role.
During day shifts, you will provide support, assisting with personal care, manual handling, medication, and clinical needs, while also encouraging and supporting him to take part in the activities he enjoys most.
In the evenings, he enjoys watching films. You will support his night-time routine, including personal care and helping him settle comfortably into bed, while ensuring his comfort, safety, and wellbeing throughout the night.
This is a truly rewarding opportunity to support someone with a kind heart who greatly values the care, companionship, and dedication of his support team.
Please note: Due to the nature of our vacancies, our clients have the right to request either female or male staff.
Our client has specifically requested female care staff to join their team.
This isn't just a job - it's your opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life."
