• Healthcare Assistant
• Location: Accrington, BB5
• Pay Rate: £13.50-£16.00 per hour
• Shifts: Part Time Days Available, 7am - 7pm, 2 shifts per week

The Role

We are currently supporting a fun, affectionate, and cheeky man in his forties who lives at home with his family. He has a great sense of humour and enjoys building positive relationships with his care team.

He enjoys:

• Watching football
• Listening to music
• Drawing
• Spending time with his mum, especially watching soaps together
• The occasional takeaway and light-hearted banter

As part of a 2:1 care team, you will support him with all aspects of daily living while promoting his independence, safety, and wellbeing.

In this role, you will:

• Support daily routines and personal care & Administer medication
• Prepare meals and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Support his clinical needs
• Provide person-centred care to manage and respond to behaviours that may challenge

There are both waking and sleeping night shifts available.

During waking nights, you will support him in maintaining a calm and restful night-time routine. He usually goes to bed around 10:00pm, and you will carry out hourly checks, providing personal care as required.

During sleeping nights, you will remain on hand to provide assistance if needed.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 months' care experience
• Confidence in medication administration, personal care, and moving & handling
• Strong communication skills
• A compassionate, patient, and reliable approach
