The Role

We are supporting a young man in his 20s who lives at home with his parents in Stockport.

He enjoys:
  • Singing nursery rhymes
  • Listening to music
  • Receiving massages
  • Using his soft mirror
  • Spending time on his iPad
In this role, you will provide person-centred care across both day and night shifts, supporting his individual needs and promoting his comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

During night shifts, you will be responsible for close monitoring and repositioning him every two hours to ensure his safety and comfort throughout the night.

Due to his complex care needs, you must remain highly vigilant, responsive, and able to act promptly when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality, person-centred care
  • Supporting with personal care respectfully and with dignity
  • Administering medication as required
  • Assisting with Moving & Handling
  • Supporting daily routines and clinical care needs
  • Monitoring wellbeing and responding to care needs promptly
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting with nutrition and clinical interventions (as required)
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation management
  • PEG feeding
  • Oral suctioning
    What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 3 months' care experience
  • Confident with medication, personal care, and Moving & Handling
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Experience supporting children or young people (professional or personal)
  • Flexibility with working hours
  • Hands-on experience with complex and clinical care is essential
