The Role

We are looking for compassionate Healthcare Assistants to support a fun-loving and energetic young boy in his family home.

He enjoys:
  • Outdoor adventures and sensory play
  • Listening to stories and being read to
  • Music, especially outdoors
  • Hydro swimming sessions and horse-riding therapy
  • Spending time with his Labrador, Elmo.
During day shifts, you will provide 2:1 care, supporting him with all aspects of personal care, moving and handling, play, and sensory exploration.

You will also assist with mealtimes and accompany him to school, ensuring that all clinical needs are met while keeping him safe, comfortable, and engaged throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality, person-centred care throughout the day
  • Supporting with personal care respectfully and with dignity
  • Administering medication as required
  • Assisting with repositioning and moving & handling
  • Monitoring wellbeing and responding to care needs promptly
  • Epilepsy management
  • PEG Feeding
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 3 months' care experience
  • Confident with medication administration, personal care, and moving & handling
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Comfortable working around pets
  • A passion for working with children

Our funded training (including clinical skills) is provided free of charge; however, attendance is unpaid.

Salary range

  • £15 - £20 per hour
