Complex Home Care
Job Ref 25923
Job description
We live and work by the six Cs: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment - and we're looking for people who share these values.
Meet Our Client
We are supporting a 70-year-old gentleman with complex and clinical care needs. He is a successful professional, an MBE recipient, and a passionate advocate for disability access. He is actively involved in supporting the disabled community, advising venues on accessibility, and also owns and rents out a fully accessible villa in Spain. He also runs several independent businesses. A long-standing Manchester United fan, he enjoys following the team and attending matches as a season ticket holder.
He lives alone and plays an active role in decisions about his care, including choosing which carers work with him. He appreciates care that is attentive, consistent, and tailored to his preferences, and values clear and respectful communication. Candidates must be confident in supporting someone who is actively involved in the planning and delivery of their care.
His morning routine is carefully structured and requires skilled clinical support. Providing transfers, moving, and handling can be physically demanding, and staff will support him using appropriate equipment. Care includes assisting with personal and bowel care, as well as full hygiene support on a higher-than-standard double mattress. Candidates should be physically capable and comfortable reaching to provide all aspects of care safely and effectively.
Staff will also support him to access social activities, appointments, and events in the community, so we are looking for confident drivers to support this.
This role is for a confident carer who is physically capable, ideally experienced in complex clinical care, and able to work closely with someone who is actively involved in their care. Candidates will need to provide a fully updated CV prior to interview, including full employment history.
