Bank Endoscopy Theatre Practitioner
Birmingham, The Harborne Hospital
Bank (Flexible hours)
Salary competitive
We're looking for a Bank Theatre Practitioner to join our Endoscopy team at The Harborne Hospital in Birmingham. Opened in January 2024, The Harborne Hospital is a purpose-built, 50-bed, multi-speciality private hospital located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus. As part of HCA Healthcare UK, you'll work in a modern clinical environment supported by advanced technology, contemporary endoscopy facilities and experienced multidisciplinary teams. The hospital's close collaboration with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust creates a well-connected setting with a varied case mix and high clinical standards.
As a Bank Endoscopy Theatre Practitioner, you'll play an important role in supporting service delivery through flexible, ad hoc shifts. This opportunity is particularly well suited to experienced practitioners who are confident working autonomously and supporting high-quality endoscopy lists. Senior-level experience is ideal, especially for colleagues who enjoy taking ownership, supporting smooth patient flow and working with minimal supervision. You'll work across the endoscopy pathway, helping to deliver safe, efficient care while providing a calm and reassuring experience for patients. For colleagues who enjoy working at The Harborne Hospital, there may be opportunities to progress into permanent roles in the future, should these become available.
At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
What you'll do:
Originally founded over 50 years ago by Dr Thomas Frist, HCA has gone on to become one of the world's leading healthcare providers. In the UK, we're one of the largest providers of privately funded healthcare and have invested over £500 million in the latest treatments, technology, techniques, medication and facilities. Being part of a large multisite healthcare group means you'll work to consistent, high clinical standards in a supportive environment, with access to modern resources and experienced teams across the organisation.
Culture and values
At HCA UK we believe exceptional care starts with our people. We celebrate the unique perspectives and different experiences each of us bring as we know that when you feel seen, heard and supported you can be at your best for our patients, and each other.
Our mission is simple, above all else we're committed to the care and improvement of human life, a clear statement that extends to both our patients and colleagues. To achieve this, we live and breathe four core values:
We believe everyone should feel comfortable to bring their full self to work and be afforded the same opportunities. As a Disability Confident committed organisation, we're happy to discuss flexible working arrangements to suit your needs as well as offer reasonable adjustments throughout our recruitment process, and in the workplace, to anyone that needs them.
