Spire Southampton Hospital are seeking an experienced Specialist Radiographer for the Cath Lab. You will be joining the temporary staffing bank, seeking ad-hoc shifts.

Spire Southampton Hospital are seeking an experienced Specialist Radiographer for the Cath Lab. You will be joining the temporary staffing bank, seeking ad-hoc shifts.

Duties and responsibilities:
- You will contribute to the day-to-day management of imaging quality, quality control, radiation protection and administrative functions as well as covering mainly Electrophysiology and Ablation procedures, some Coronary Angiography and PCI work is undertaken as well as TAVI once suitable competence has been attained.
- The Cardiac Radiographers are responsible for adjunctive imaging to include IVUS and OCT in supporting PCI procedures - full training will be provided.
- You will be maintaining the highest standards with regards to respecting the privacy and dignity of all patients whilst maintaining up-to-date knowledge on and adherence to corporate and local SOP's.
- You will act, at all times in accordance with the Society of Radiographers code of professional conduct.
- You will be taking ownership and fulfilling the requirements of any required statutory and mandatory training; ensuring all training courses are completed within the required timeframes.
- You will adhere to the local radiation rules, whilst contributing to the reviewing and reinforcing of all local rules regarding radiation protection with the broader team.
- Ensuring that appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment is appropriate for clinical duties within the Theatre environment.
Who we're looking for:
- You will be a HCPC registered Radiographer
- Experience in Interventional Radiography
- Experience working in a Cath Lab
- Excellent communication and organisation is key to continue our high standards of patient care.
