Priory Hospital Roehamptonis looking to recruit an Admissions Manager to join the team. This is afull time 37.5 hoursrole.

Priory Hospital Roehampton, a registered hospital in London, is a welcoming and highly respected rehab facility, offering expert mental health and addiction treatment.

We support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We also provide outpatient support for adults with eating disorders.

For young people, we have a dedicated young people's mental health inpatient service across two specialist wards - Richmond Court and Kingston Court - where we provide expert care in a supportive environment.




What you'll be doing
You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate leadership team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
  • Lead a team of Admissions Officers, to ensure patients are admitted to hospital efficiently and smoothly, including confirmation that all funding is in place.
  • To ensure efficient revenue capture, oversees control of debt management and collection of funds in line with Priory policy and processes.
  • Ensures all patients have a positive customer service experience when interacting with the team.
  • Greets new patients, as well as their families on or shortly after admission, ensuring that any necessary documentation is completed at this time.
  • Liaise with consultant and medical secretaries to ensure private medical insurance is in place prior to admission and is maintained through their stay.
  • Updates patient details within Priory systems, ensuring accuracy of all data input.
  • Develops working relationships with internal stakeholders, insurance companies, GPs, bed managers, etc., ensuring that requests are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure bed management kept up to date and communicated.
  • Interacts positively with other hospital departments, consultants and leaders such as SMT offices, Ward Managers and Therapy Leads

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will possess a good standard of general education, including GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar leadership role, in a healthcare setting. Experience in an Admissions, Bed Management, or similar clinical administrative role is required, with healthcare experience being desirable.

Additionally, the candidate should have a proven ability to manage their own workload in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. They should be competent in using software such as Microsoft Office and demonstrate a high standard of written and verbal communication skills. Responsiveness to time-critical situations, strong time management, and the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively are essential.
