About us
Our new hospital neighbours our existing health care site that includes Cygnet Sherwood House and Cygnet Sherwood Lodge. The hospital supports the needs of male adults who need mental health services, and possibly intensive care. We have 3 wards - a 12 bed PICU ward and two 16 bed acute wards.
“The new hospital provides a safe and comfortable environment to enable individuals to achieve outstanding outcomes as well as a successful recovery.”
Claire Griffiths
Fern Ward
Fern Ward is our 12 bed male PICU accepting emergency and crisis admissions. Fern Ward provides expert, intensive, short-term, individualised care for service users detained under the Mental Health Act.
Our aim is a short, rapid intervention to help individuals regain a sense of control and order in lives, so they can move to a less restrictive care setting and ultimately return home.
