Job overview The Kent Clinical Neuropsychology Service is one of the largest Neuropsychology Departments in the country. We provide neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation across Kent. We work with a variety of health and social services teams to support the needs of adults with acquired brain injury and those with long-term neurological conditions. The post is based in the cosmopolitan and vibrant city of Canterbury, which boasts excellent high-speed (one hour) links to London. You will be based within the East Kent Neurorehabilitation Unit at Kent &amp; Canterbury Hospital. A key aspect of this role will be to provide specialist neuropsychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation, and to offer psychological therapy to people during their inpatient neurorehabilitation journey. Clinical Psychologist - Inpatient Adult Mental Health

Job overview Please note, at this stage, the role is open only to internal staff (including NHSP and Agency staff currently on placement within our organisation) and staff substantively employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB). This fantastic opportunity is for a Senior Psychologist/CBT Psychotherapist who will be responsible for the clinical delivery of psychological therapies in the At Risk Mental State (ARMS) pathway that forms part of EIP services in East Kent. This multi-professional team provides comprehensive assessment and formulation for people aged 14 to 35 years who are at ultra-high risk of developing psychosis. Treatment includes CBT for emerging psychosis and co-existing mental health needs; family interventions and carers support, and psycho-social therapeutic interventions that is trauma informed. The ARMS pathway works collaboratively with other service providers, including ChYPPS, Substance Misuse Services and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) services (Live Well Kent and Medway, MIND) and the 18-25 pathway for young people. This not only allows quick, easy access to treatment but also enhances support for the delivery of the psychosocial offer to young people in schools, colleges, universities and local communities. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be responsible for offering high quality assessment and intervention (including CBT/CBTp and family interventions) and key working/lead HCP support to young people with complex presentations entering the service. You will line manage and offer clinical supervision on psychological work to other practitioners. Consultation, risk formulation, safety planning, facilitating reflective practice, linking with partners and teaching staff in the multi-disciplinary team will also be an expectation. You will have high quality support from psychology leads who are passionate about psychosis services in Kent &amp; Medway.
