Join our dedicated team at St Neots as the Associate Specialist Doctor and play a key role in providing high-quality care to service users with complex mental health needs. Working under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will undertake psychiatric and external assessments for service users referred to the unit, ensuring the appropriate level of care is provided. You will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive Care Programmes tailored to individual needs. Supporting physical health care is a vital part of the role, including sharing responsibility for bloods and ECGs with the site phlebotomist, and ensuring ward staff carry out physical observations in line with medical instructions. Provide assessments and interventions within the acute stroke unit (HASU and ASU).
</li>

Manage complex respiratory cases, ideally including tracheostomy patients.
</li>

<li>
Collaborate within the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement patient care.
</li>

<li>
Support and mentor junior staff, fostering a learning and professional development environment.
</li>
</ul>


<h3>Requirements</h3>

<ul>

HCPC Registration: Essential.
</li>

<li>
Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute hospital settings in the UK, focusing on stroke and respiratory care.
</li>

<li>
Desirable: Stroke competencies or post-graduate stroke training.
</li>

<li>
Driving Licence: Preferable, to facilitate patient visits when required.
</li>
