This role is a full-time role of 37.5 hours. We support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We also provide outpatient support for adults with eating disorders What you'll be doing You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. As a Specialist Doctor, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients <ul> <li>Undertake psychiatric and external assessments for clients referred to the unit to determine the appropriate level of care to be provided, under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, and work with the unit multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of the Care Programme.</li> <li>Prepare discharge summaries, reports and other associated documentation as necessary e.g. for CPA meetings, as directed and supervised by the Consultant Psychiatrist. Participation in learning activities and supervision.</li> <li>Participation in Clinical Governance activities, and account for contracted hours utilised in research, Continuing Professional Development and other non-clinical duties as necessary and in a timely manner. Working effectively with colleagues to ensure that clients have access to appropriate medical cover at all times, which will require participation in an on-call rota for the site.</li> </ul>You can find additional information in the attached job description. Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. This post requires an MBBS or equivalent, along with full GMC registration and a license to practice. The successful candidate will be in good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for CPD and will have completed an appraisal or RITA within the past year.
