What you will do:

• Apply your expertise in bacteriology, including processing wound, genital, and urine cultures.
• Utilise advanced analysers such as Maldi-TOF for organism identification and Microscan for MIC sensitivity testing.
• Perform accurate plate reading using systems like Adagio.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards using the QPulse Quality Management System.
• Authorise results in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines.
• Use (or quickly learn) systems such as Winpath Enterprise to support efficient laboratory operations.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to deliver high-quality microbiology services.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration is essential.
• Relevant experience in microbiology, particularly bacteriology, is required.
