Description
Priory Hospital Woking is looking to recruit a therapy lead to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours.

Priory Hospital Woking is a private mental health and addiction rehab hospital, offering world class treatment in an idyllic countryside setting and. The hospital provides residential treatment for up to 35 adults and also has a strong day care and outpatient programme which includes a range of therapeutic approaches.


What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
  • Leading and supporting a diverse range of therapy staff including psychology, therapy, OT, assistants and any other specialisms that fall within the team's therapy needs.
  • Facilitating regular management supervision with individuals in line with Priory policy, using a cascade system with other qualified therapists
  • An agreed reduced level of patient facing clinical hours to create line management responsibility, as agreed with the Private Business and Therapy Manager.
  • Be available for any clinical issues the team may need, for example managing risk, responding to complex patient needs, supporting individual cases with a wider MDT as necessary.
The Team Lead will be working within the General Psychiatric department of the hospital and offer line management to the therapists and be responsible for the overall smooth running of the inpatient & day care programmes.

What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

Groupwork facilitation experience is essential, and a knowledge of DBT and/or Neurodiversity would be desirable. A registered healthcare professional with the HCPC, such as an occupational therapist or psychologist, and an experienced psychotherapist accredited with BACP, BABCP, or UKCP. They demonstrate clear and motivational leadership skills, effectively supporting a diverse therapy team, and possess a sound understanding of a wide range of therapy roles and their application within mental health settings. They have experience providing management supervision, with well-established skills in staff retention, and can give clear examples of maintaining a calm and supportive approach in demanding environments. In addition, they have experience working within commercial or business settings, demonstrating a strong understanding of cost management and financial awareness.
