The Governors of Hartford Manor Primary School & Nursery are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant who will support children to achieve their full potential, inspire a love of learning and contribute positively to our inclusive school community. This is a permanent post.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has experience of supporting teaching and learning within a primary school setting.
  • Has high expectations for all pupils and is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to our inclusive ethos, ensuring every child feels safe, valued and able to succeed.
  • Is enthusiastic, caring and dedicated, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
  • Can work effectively with individuals and small groups.
  • Supports pupils with a range of learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs, adapting approaches where appropriate.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider school community.
  • Is reflective and committed to their own professional development.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to the wider life of the school.

Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe. Applicants for the post will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes, including references. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS Disclosure. References will be taken up for all shortlisted candidates prior to interview.
